Do you love pets and their owners? Do you work well as part of a motivated team? Are career growth opportunities important to you?
If so, you might be a perfect fit at Animal Inn Pet Resort. Here are some of the roles that make up our team.
Pet Care Specialist:
At Animal Inn, we believe that our pets are our family. For this position, we are looking for someone who treats each furry family member like their own. Reliability is a must. Each staff member is trained with a senior staff member and takes classes on topics such as animal behavior and proper cleaning procedures. While experience is a plus, no experience is necessary, we are happy to teach you! Daily responsibilities include: feeding the pets and administering medications, cleaning boarding areas and yards, monitoring animal health and behavior and playing with the dogs!
Dog Trainer (Dog Trainer Apprenticeship):
Animal Inn Pet Resort and our sister company, Companionship Dog Training, are positive reinforcement-based facilities. Both of our owners have extensive animal training backgrounds, including college degrees in Animal Behavior Management and Exotic Animal Training and Management. Our owner, Katie, also spent ten years training exotic animals at the San Diego Zoo while Corwin helped run one of San Diego’s top dog training programs specializing in working with fear and reactivity issues. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for animals and training. Have you wanted to learn how to train dogs or have some experience but would like to learn more? We would love to teach you!
Doggy Daycare Attendant:
At Animal Inn, we are proud of our well-trained and educated daycare staff! Our owners personally teach each staff member a customized class on Animal Behavior and spend time working with you in our daycare yard. Daily responsibilities include: monitoring playgroups of dogs, managing animal behavior and cleaning rest areas and daycare yards.
Reservation Specialist:
Reservation Specialists are the face of our company. They work directly with clients to customize each pet’s stay and ensure they are set up to have a blast during their stay. Our reservation specialists also assist with bringing in daycare pups each morning and taking care of the cats staying with us. Responsibilities include: check ins and outs, answering phones, communicating effectively with clients, bringing in daycare dogs each morning, cleaning and feeding of cats and kitty playtimes! Must be comfortable speaking on the phone and have excellent communication and multitasking skills.
